Twisted Grip Handspring



Here are some progressions for the Twisted Grip Handspring.

Mobility Prerequisites:

  • 180 degrees of overhead shoulder flexion
  • 90 degrees of internal rotation overhead
  • ~80 degrees of internal rotation with arm abducted

Strength Prerequisites:

  • handstand against the wall (ability to generate force and stabilize in an overhead position)
  • tucked/piked skin the cat, lowering feet to the floor in the internal rotated position with control (scapular stability in internal rotation)
